Hakomi Therapy is a somatic, mindfulness based psychotherapy often described as assisted self-discovery. Clients are gently guided into present moment awareness, slowing down to compassionately observe internal experiences like breath, sensation, memory, and impulse. The process is collaborative and unfolds organically.
Together, we explore and transform core beliefs that shape current day thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Many of these patterns form unconsciously in childhood and can limit growth and potential. As they are brought into awareness, space opens for insight, healing, and meaningful change. We reconnect with inner wisdom and remember who we are beyond conditioning - returning home to ourselves.
My training also integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), allowing us to explore and understand the many parts of the psyche. When these parts are truly seen and honored, burdens can release, creating a shift toward integration, clarity, and grounded steadiness.
In this work, we build a relationship rooted in safety and attunement, where you may explore your inner landscape and be truly recognized. I hold a supportive, compassionate container and move at a pace that honors your process. My intention is that you feel seen, resourced, and connected to your innate resilience.
This work is also informed by yoga, Ayurveda, mindfulness, and breath work, and is grounded in my work as a Licensed Massage Therapist and role as a Washington State–certified counselor.
People come to therapy for many reasons. Life is complex. We all navigate challenges - past and present. You may be at a crossroads, healing old wounds, or seeking greater regulation, self-love, and connection to your authentic nature. This work supports a return to clarity, vitality, and radiance.

“I would heartily recommend Hakomi work with Tami for anyone interested in exploring their life beyond the fluctuations of the thinking mind. The loving kindness and embodied presence Tami facilitates in her Hakomi sessions is a truly special invitation to visit deeper realms of knowing oneself. If you feel called to therapeutic depth work, do not pass this invitation up.
Tami’s skillful guidance, nurturing attunement, and sincere compassion helped me to nourish early childhood wounds with gentle movement, breathwork, and supportive touch. I walked away from our session feeling so cared for and so nourished on a cellular, emotional, and spiritual level. What I downloaded here with Tami will stay with me forever.”
